Child Safety Standards

Our commitment

The Old Etonian Association ("the OEA") is committed to protecting children from sexual abuse and exploitation. This commitment applies across everything we operate, including TAPP, our alumni networking app, and extends to any content, conduct or user shared within our platforms.

We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in any form. This standard applies regardless of a platform's intended audience or age restrictions.

Prohibited conduct

The OEA prohibits:

• Any content that sexualises, exploits or endangers a minor, including imagery, text or links
• Grooming, solicitation or any attempt to establish inappropriate contact with a minor
• Sharing, requesting or facilitating access to child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
• Any other conduct that violates applicable child protection law

This applies to all users of TAPP, regardless of the app's alumni-only, 18+ membership base.

TAPP is a closed platform: membership is restricted to registered OEA members, who must be Eton alumni over 18, and all access is verified before entry. The platform is monitored and moderated throughout. These safeguards do not exempt TAPP from this policy; they sit alongside it as further protection.

Reporting

Anyone who encounters content or conduct that may violate these standards should report it immediately.

Reports are reviewed promptly. Where content constitutes CSAM or evidence of abuse, we act in accordance with UK law, including reporting to the National Crime Agency (via the CEOP Safety Centre) and, where relevant, the Internet Watch Foundation.

Enforcement

Confirmed violations of this policy will result in immediate removal of the content, suspension or termination of the user's access to TAPP, and referral to law enforcement where required by law.

Legal compliance

The OEA complies with all applicable child protection legislation, including the UK's Online Safety Act and reporting obligations to UK law enforcement and relevant statutory bodies. We cooperate fully with law enforcement investigations into CSAE.
